On Tuesday, November 26, the Atlantic maritime prefecture organized an exercise to combat maritime pollution by hydrocarbons in Charente Maritime: POLMAR 17. This type of exercise is carried out regularly with the aim of consolidating the know-how of French Navy units, perfecting the training of personnel and validating the various intervention plans. The national navy, in charge of the fight against pollution at sea, develops through these trainings an expertise and a preparation in this mission, at the service of the action of the State at sea, entrusted to the maritime prefect.
