The exercise “POLLEX 2014”, hosted by the Netherlands, was carried out in waters of Vlakte van de Raan, 2 October 2014. The exercise was carried out within the framework of Belgian/Dutch/EMSA cooperation in pollution response at sea. The objectives of the exercise were: ¿NOMBRE? marine pollution response mechanisms, and - to exercise an operational formation of the oil pollution response vessels at sea (five oil spill response vessels in a column formation following the oil boom in open ”U” formation towed by the Belgian tugs).
