The main objective of the exercise was to exercise personnel, assets, readiness and capabilities for effective response in SAR and oil spill response missions at regional level in the Eastern Mediterranean. In particular, training exercises focused on MEDEVAC and SAR operations, confronting of maritime pollution, asymmetric threats and associated security issues that might arise either on cargo or passenger ships and/or platforms, within the EEZ of Cyprus and the Eastern Mediterranean in general.

NEMESIS 2015 Multinational Exercise was conducted on the 1 of July 2015 near the coast of Cyprus, with the participation of Air and Naval Units and Personnel from Cyprus, Israel, Greece and the United States of America.The training exercises focused on MEDEVAC and Search & Rescue operations, confronting of Maritime pollution, asymmetric threats and associated security issues that might arise either on Cargo or Passenger Ships and/or Platforms, in the Exclusive Economic Zone of Cyprus and the Eastern Mediterranean in general.
