HELCOM BALEX DELTA Exercise 2014_Video

Hosted by Latvia, in June 2014 the Baltic coastal countries again rehearsed the joint response to a major pollution incident at sea. The HELCOM Balex Delta tests in practice (at sea) the procedures documented in the HELCOM Response Manual and whether the operational response capability of the participating states meet the international commitments in the 1992 Helsinki Convention. The general objective of the exercises is to ensure that any coastal country is able to lead a major international response operation.
